Welcome to St. Luke’s

“Come unto me, all ye that travail and are heavy laden, and I will refresh you.” — Matthew 11:28

When you visit St. Luke’s, you’ll quickly find that we are a warm, welcoming group — and we laugh a lot. Friendship, faith, food, and fellowship are what our community is made of. You don’t need to know anything about Anglicanism or liturgical worship to feel at home here.

2425 N. Chestnut Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 — east side of Chestnut, between Fontanero and Uintah, with parking in the adjacent lot.

Sunday Morning

Sunday Mass begins at 10:00 AM each week.

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted at the door and given everything you need to follow along — a service booklet, a hymnal, and a friendly neighbor to help you find your place. Don’t worry about knowing when to stand, sit, or kneel; just follow those around you, and feel free to simply observe if that’s more comfortable.

Our worship is reverent and beautiful — but it is not stuffy. If you are new to liturgical worship, many visitors find it surprisingly moving. There is something powerful about joining your voice to prayers that Christians have prayed for centuries. Learn more about our worship →

What to Wear

Come as you are. Some parishioners dress formally; others do not. God is not concerned with your wardrobe, and neither are we.

Children

Children are welcome at St. Luke’s — in the service, making noise, being themselves. We believe children belong in worship, not separated from it.

Traditional liturgy gives children something that a sermon alone cannot: real things to hold, real actions to perform, real beauty to encounter. They carry palm branches on Palm Sunday, kneel at the altar rail, and join their voices to hymns that have been sung for centuries. The liturgy engages the whole person — body, senses, and spirit — and children respond to that naturally. They absorb more than we think.

A family-friendly atmosphere is something we cherish.

After the Service

Welcoming visitor at the St. Luke's sign

Following Mass, we gather for fellowship in Saint Francis Hall. There is always coffee, and food. This is the best time to meet people, ask questions, and get a feel for who we are. Please stay — we would love to get to know you.

We also offer anointing and prayer for healing after Mass for anyone in need.

What If I’m Not Anglican?

You are still welcome. Many of our parishioners came to Anglicanism from other traditions — or from no tradition at all. We are not interested in pressuring anyone. We simply invite you to come, worship with us, and encounter Jesus Christ in Word and Sacrament. This may be the spiritual home you have been looking for.

Come and see.
